CTJ# 25: The Feminist Interview

This week, Justine joins us to discuss feminism.  This really wasn’t a debate – we wanted to better understand the pretenses of feminism from someone who was willing to discuss and be asked questions.  This is just a feminist interview.  We discussed the Women’s March and what it meant, coming from someone who attended one of the marches first hand! We tried to dig down to some of the depths of what feminism means and see how they align with the Biblical world view.  And, as Tim always tends to do, we discussed the political undertones (and perhaps overtones) of the recent events and how it all ties together.

CTJ #24: Post-Truth & Cotton Candy Theology

This week Jordan is back on the podcast from Seattle to discuss the 2016 Oxford Word of the Year, Post-Truth.  Tim, Rob, and Jordan discuss a growing undercurrent in Christianity that places higher value on our experiences and feelings than the Word of God.  Of course, we can’t help but comment on the current political landscape since it is the inauguration week!

CTJ #23: What About Morality? Atheism vs Christianity

This episode we are joined by Kyle to have an open and honest conversation about Christianity vs Atheism.  We may not settle the debate but wanted to start the dialogue to get it out on the table.  As you know, on CTJ – we like to understand all sides of the debate to better relate to our fellow man.  Kyle was so gracious to join us and give us his thoughts and opinions on this great topic.  The major theme found in this discussion falls into the topic of Morality – and how humans can be such moral creatures.  Does this give us evidence for a Creator or not?  This will not  be the only episode on this topic and we would love you input.

CTJ #22: Keeping a Christ Centered Marriage

We have all said the words about our relationships “oh yes, we have a very Christ centered marriage” or relationship or friendship – whatever the case.  However, how true are those statements?

Paul Tripp once said, “either Jesus lives in the 10,000 little moments of your life or he does not live in your life at all.”  We discuss what it means to have a Christ centered marriage – in that it starts with a Christ centered life.  This topic is even more relevant in today’s world that is drifting further and further from God.  Our lives should speak of Christ – and our marriages should be telling others the gospel.  Join us as we discuss this vast topic – that we don’t even begin to feel that we’ve somehow mastered or accomplished.

Especially on this podcast – we would love to have your input and experiences!

CTJ #17: The Problem with Millennials

We know every problem with millennials. Ok, maybe not every problem but since we all are millennials we might have some good insight.  However, we kind of still have a small problem with some statistics.  The fact that there are millennials leaving the local bodies of believers is scary.  The bigger problem is that when they are getting into their 30s (or later) they aren’t coming back.  Our generation is genuinely leaving their faith behind.  Join us as we discuss some of our own theories as to why, how we all go do better, and what will ultimately bring glory to God.  Hosts Tim, Jordan, and Rob are joined again by Dan McCarthy (remember episode #6) to discuss this massive topic.

CTJ #16: The Great Divide

Why do so many “Christians” not hold a biblical world view?  This week Tim, Jordan, and Rob tackled a topic that Jordan noticed was running through all our recent episodes and was a topic of study a few years ago.   Much of the discussion was fueled by “unchristian” a book on the statistics within Christendom.  Join us as we talk about some of the issues in the Christian faith related to the lack of a biblical world view and how it affects our living for Christ.
