Rob McMichael:
Born and raised in the NJ Suburbs of Philadelphia until my family decided to follow my sister out to Iowa when she got married when I was between 10th and 11th grade.  In a single summer I went from a class of over 500 to a class of 29.  After graduation, I relocated back to NJ to attend Drexel University.  I graduated in 2010 and have been working for the man ever since.  I was married on Sept 1, 2012 to my amazing wife Julia and we had our first child Elijah David on June 19th, 2015.

As for my spiritual life, I was raised by parents who followed Jesus Christ and was very familiar with the Bible and the gospel from a young age.  Although at the age of 12 I told everyone I was “saved” during a gospel meeting I never actually received anything that night.  Even in my moment of recognition that I needed a Savior – I depended upon my belief in Him for salvation.  However, I tried from then on to live the “Christian Life.”  I was baptized, became a member of a local church and even went to El Salvador for a few months to live with a missionary.  I was doing everything a Christian should be doing but I had no peace.  It wasn’t until spring break of my freshmen year of college that I finally acknowledged that I never had come to know Jesus Christ personally as my Savior.  I had never rested the totality of my faith in Him for salvation.  I acknowledged that whether I believe it or not does not change the fact that He died on a cross to save the world.  My belief or faith didn’t change a thing one way or the other.  So in that moment I simply accepted that if He died for sinners then He died for me and placed my trust in Him alone for my salvation.
